Sorry its
taken a while to post this, but would just like to thank Dave and the guys at
his garage for the service they carried out on my car over the weekend. Provided
a top rate service for a VERY cheap price! Not only that but they even let me
poke around the car while it was up on the ramp and pester them asking question
after question!
Will definitely be going back and am now contemplating what to do next after all
the suggestions they provided!
thanks again mate!
Exhaust sorted - thanks Dave HTE
Well
having owned the car since August last year the exhaust has been blowing at the
manifold since day one and despite numerous attempts by various people, it has
continued to blow, that is until today.
I nipped over to Dave at
Hertford
Tyres
and Exhausts and he spent a good few hours grinding various welds that were
holding the exhaust in the wrong position and then refitted the whole thing and
welded where it should have been in the first place.
I handed over the folding (not very much it has to be said) and got my car back
and am now proud to say it has got Flow masters and it sounds like it should!!!
Best thing about going to Dave was that I had to drive the Hatfield Tunnel on
the way home, and just to make sure all was well I did a quick turnaround and
made another pass (or two) sad but true, and great fun.

I had a
Service & MOT at Gill & Dave's Garage (Hertford Tyre & Exhaust) .
To let you know that after 4yrs , 2005 V8 Mustang GT, is in good nick .
All signs are that they are well designed & built .
The car has done less than 19,000 miles but qualified for the 45,000 mile
service on age .
service + M O T + Air con inspection +Brake fluid change using DOT5.1 fluid , .
So we're all set for another 19,000 miles .
Thanks Gill & Dave
Martin .
Just been to see Dave to have car tracked after fitting lower
springs, that's a nice piece of kit,
The last time I had a car tracked they had mirrors and
pointers!!
Coffees not bad either

Just back from Dave at Hertford Tyres.
I am pleased to say Dave and his mechanics delivered a fantastic service.
He made sure he kept the ramp free for me all day to sort my brakes out. The
service even included a meal.
2nd MOT passed too.
And the cost was unbelievable (Dave must have forgotten a zero)
Thank you again Dave.

I had
my 1st service on Saturday, at Hertford Tyres...
...Dave came in on his day off to do it for me!
Whist there I also got DOT 5.1 brake fluid and E B C "Yellow Stuff" front pads -
which I highly recommend by the way - the brakes feel more "progressive" now,
and stop harder than before when needed. Not fully "run in" yet though.
Dave even found the time to fix a couple of annoyances too, like a wobbly side
repeater and the most recent (and massively annoying) dash rattle. That was
worth the trip alone!
Even though it was a 220 mile round trip, I had a great day, got all the jobs
done, at a great price too!
Things I wasn't expecting, but made the day better - seeing Dave struggling with
his side scoops ,
meeting Mini Mustang Mad ,
and seeing the 1958 (?) Chevy Impala snapping it's own suspension when brake
testing for MOT ,
oh and the bacon baguette too!
All in all, if you need it sorted, go see Dave.
Satisfying conclusion to bad braking issues
Well I now have 4 working brakes, big thanks to Dave from hertfordtyres.
He stripped them down, and serviced the callipers.
Replaced the brake discs and pads and corrected the dodgy handbrake.
He even gave it a new shiny MOT.
BIG BIG thanks Dave for sorting the car, I didn't realise it could stop so fast.
Also I would recommend Dave and his work, very knowledgeable on the mechanics of
the car and very reasonable on the wallet.
He also showed great patience when explaining what he was doing and what was
wrong with the car.
I recommend his work to anybody who has Mustang issues or even a normal car that
needs looking after for servicing MOT's or just repair's.

I decided
that after four years of ownership my Vert was in need of some serious tlc.
Cue weeks of scouring
the forums for info and getting up to date with what's happening in the land of
the S197.
And then I saw the
special offer service from Dave's Hertford Tyres and Exhausts. Always with an
eye for a bargain I booked the car in the same day. Well, after the 260 mile
round trip, all I can say is that is the best money I have ever spent.
Joking aside, what started as a purchase for some new indicator lenses morphed
into a full service and all I can say is what fantastic service. Dave is a top
top guy and will really look after you without lifting your leg. I basically
went for the full monty, brake fluid change, air con charged etc etc and for
once the service work had a noticeable effect on the car e.g. I froze my nu***
off and the brake pedal feel is night and day now, I even think my mpg's getting
better. That can't be true can it?
Dave even had time to properly align my Muff Diver exhausts which had been
fitted, at considerable expense I might add, by another respected mustang garage
who had made a right pigs ear of the fitment resulting in, from behind, a cross
eyed squint. The trip was worth getting that fixed alone!!! Anyone else here who
could have lived with that for two years?? I hang my head in shame.
I also had the pleasure of meeting Pete aka Jainser who turned up with his
stunning Bullit, pictures do not do these cars justice and Pete's replete with
20" Bullits was gorgeous. For the first time in a long time, I think since
Trevor Jenkins from next door got the Captain Scarlett SPV vehicle for Xmas, I
had pangs of envy. Lovely, lovely car.
Oh, I almost forgot, included was a special trip in Dave's Mustang. For this I
recommend rubber pants with industrial strength elastic, I did not know Mustangs
can be made to go this fast and handle so well. Truly awesome!!

Dave
at Hertford Tyre and Exhaust went out of his way to explain and demonstrate
things with regards to my service and repair. Friendly, helpful and
honest.
Knight of the road - Dave came upon my car
with a flat tyre. He changed the wheel and then would not accept any payment. I
subsequently bought 4 new tyres and an oil change from his garage and had
excellent service.
I went to this garage for
second opinion after being told by another garage during servicing my car that I
needed new brake disc's and pads. I regret not having the service done at
Hertford Tyre and Exhaust. They were very helpful and the staff are genuine.
They gave me free brake inspection and greased my wheel bearings which the other
garage had not done. They spent time explaining various things to do with my car
to me which I found very useful.
I was recommended by a friend
and I would definitely recommend others, the service was excellent and my car
looks differently good after service.
