alignment will stop uneven tyre wear and give you better mileage as there will
be less resistance to the tyres rolling along the road.
Research
indicates that the average car is driven about 12,000 miles per year. A car with
toe alignment just 0.34 degrees (Just 0.17 inches) out of specification has
dragged it's tyres sideways for more than 68 miles by the end of the year! Improved Handling
Safer Driving
Have your car checked if you
notice:
Everyday hazards such as speed bumps or normal wear and stress can cause your wheels to go out of alignment so it is recommended that you have them checked every 10,000 miles or if town driving then every 6000 or at least once a year. Pro-Align 800 Laser Wheel Alignment Take a look at the car below: This car came to us with uneven tyre wear on both sides and the customer complaining of a wandering sensation. We found excessive wear in both front lower wishbones to which we recommended and fitted replacements and then recommended to the customer he came back after a couple of weeks to allow the suspension to resettle before we put this on our Blue tooth Pro-Align 800. The customer came back after 3 weeks and from just a visual inspection we could see the car had major alignment problems.
So we hooked it up to the machine and as you can see from the 2nd picture the alignment was so bad it had scuffed the whole outer edge of the tyre away
Part of the set up checks with our alignment machine is that it checks the car is level in-case there is a suspension problem and it also checks the hub assemblies for damage or signs of bent suspension and chassis. Once you have gone through this set up procedure the Pro-Align 800 will tell you if any problems have been found and look below: Everything that is red needs to be adjusted !
As you can see the problem is around the front of the car, not the rear. The Pro-Align then tells you how much and where to adjust to bring this into alignment, not only left to right but to centre the steering wheel and also to centre the car from front to rear. This takes the guess work out of the system and stops extra tyre flex which can, after adjustment, cause the alignment to still be out !.
Once adjusted, we ran the test again to make sure we hadn't over adjusted and tyre wall flex hadn't taken it out of adjustment.
We offer a 30 day free re-check. This allows the suspension to resettle and any adjustment to bring it to tolerance can be done. The Pro-Align 800 is so sensitive it will even pick up if you car has been in a accident and has a bent sub-frame or chassis, but don't fear, most are adjustable or can be straightened even if the car has to go on a jig and then the alignment redone. The Pro-Align is very extensive and can take a while to reset your cars alignment, but knowing you have the best alignment system in the area re-adjusting your alignment means you are saving money in the long run from worn suspension to worn tyres to excessive fuel use to extra strain put on the driver.
